Ways to Help

Barra de Potosi is struggling against very power political and economic forces. But international tourism is of the highest importance in Mexico and the government and others who are shaping the fate of the village should know how tourists feel about these issues. You can help.

1. Send an email to Mexican officials at the addresses below telling them that  Barra de Potosi should be preserved and not be developed as a cruise ship destination.

2. Send an email to the cruise ship lines saying that they should have nothing to do with a pier or cruise ship facilities in Barra de Potosi..

3. Join the Facebook Causes page.

4. Post a message of support on this site.

6. Go viral.  Spread the word about this struggle.

Individually these are small acts, but it takes surprisingly few of them to get attention and if we can generate hundreds, we have a great chance of turning the tide. We already have had success with reopening the water flow that threatened the lagoon. This is a struggle that can be won.

1. Send An Email To Mexican Officials

(We are continuing to update and add to the email lists, if you have names or addresses that we don't have, please email and let us know)
